MARCEL CARTIER AND SUKANT MEET KOJO AMOO GOTTFRIED, VERITABLE LIVING REVOLUTIONARY LEGEND

A real honour and privilege for Marcel Cartier and I to meet Comrade / elder / brother Kojo Amoo Gottfried today.

Gottfried is a Ghanaian revolutionary, comrade in arms of Kwame Nkrumah, of Malcolm X, he invited Malcolm X to england and hosted Malcolm X while he was here and also Ghana's ambassador to many countries.

There's SO MUCH more to this revolutionary, a real living legend carrying so many chapters of revolutionary unity and history and legacy between 'latin' America, Africa and Asia and also the GlobalSouth's support from within the 'west'. Gottfried is 80yrs old young now.

Marcel and I will do all that we can to ensure his experiences and great mind is popularised as much as we can. You'll hear more on this from us.

The conversations today were really something else: Kojo talked of while showing us photos of him and Fidel Castro, Ho Chi Minh(!), And Al-Karim Qassim, he showed us the two letters Malcolm X had sent him (while I held these letters I felt an incredible chill and emotion which nearly brought me to tears as that was probably the closest I'll ever get to Malcolm X himself); his work supporting China, and so much else! Just one of the most amazing experiences of my life, up there with visiting Vietnam and seeing the mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh and the martyrs temple at Cu Chi.

It really showed in living personification that, with all the contradictions and problems, how united we were across the GlobalSouth/'third world' in the period of the 1940s to the late 1980s, and how there is so much continuation to this struggle, and that we continue to march as a continuous force, losing some gaining others, on our march towards the total defeat of neo-colonialism and the liberation of all our peoples!

It's great to have the knowledge of a material connection with people and things and when they elicit emotion I think it brings our worlds together :) btw I have withdrawn from the banal social networking world. Hope all is well with you Brother :)
