I oppose the neo-colonial manner in which Malala has been used and allows herself to be used, but for someone shot through the head by the nato death squads and survived as a very young woman in Pak, I'm not into this Malala-bashing obsession. I found this to be very interesting.

Quoting Malala:

"First of all I'd like to thank The Struggle and the IMT for giving me a chance to speak last year at their Summer Marxist School in Swat and also for introducing me to Marxism and Socialism. I just want to say that in terms of education, as well as other problems in Pakistan, it is high time that we did something to tackle them ourselves. It's important to take the initiative. We cannot wait around for any one else to come and do it. Why are we waiting for someone else to come and fix things? Why aren?t we doing it ourselves?"

"I would like to send my heartfelt greetings to the congress. I am convinced Socialism is the only answer and I urge all comrades to take this struggle to a victorious conclusion. Only this will free us from the chains of bigotry and exploitation." (source)

What sort of education does Malala want for all children?. Like others who campaign that kids in South Asia should be liberated from the workplace and put in school, not a word is said about the education system. A tyranny that shoves algebra, geometry, calculus, logarithms, trignometry and other such subjects that tax the mind but are hardly used most of the time. The pseudo educators always claim that the children overloaded with books need some relief, invariably end up adding even more books to the school bag. Then bullshit like: O we did it in our time so they can do it!/ children are tough and can absorb much! ....
How many children want to work in agriculture after partaking in such a crapped/clapped out education devised over a hundred years ago by white skinned Victorian educators/tormentors?. Large tracts of fertile land are left uncultivated because, after all, children of farmers know trignometry and astro-physics so " how can work in the fields?"
