I love my brothers Akala and Aamer Rahman. When we hosted an event with them in June earlier this year [pictured above], the place was utterly packed out.

When we hosted an event with real living revolutionary legend and continuing leader of the Palestinian Revolution, banned from britain and hasnt spoken in britain for over 12 years: Leila Khaled, all those who were hyped about the the event with the aforesaid brothers were nearly all absent.

My brothers Akala and Aamer are wonderful brothers, but comparitvely to Leila Khaled, they have done very little to forward the struggle.

Mainstream celebrity culture is alive and kicking in 'radical' circles. Critical self reflection is needed, critical strategies to counter this are needed. I see an absence of such reflection and strategies. Some things need to be said. Don't shoot the messenger.

And no doubt to some extent this problematic is what I am too partially guilty of.
