IHRC welcomes back Professor Ramón Grosfoguel from the University of California, Berkeley.  Following on from last year's event 'Is Islamophobia a form of Racism?'  Professor Grosfoguel will be challenging current academic paradigms from a decolonial perspective.

Professor Grosfoguel is one of the leading decolonial thinkers and academics in the world today and has been instrumental in setting and working in decolonial projects including the Decolonial Translation group and the Center of Study and Investigation for Global Dialogues, of which the Critical Muslim Studies Summer School in Granada is a part.

The event will take place at the IHRC Bookshop and Gallery at 6.45pm, Tuesday 10 December 2013, 6.45pm - 8.45pm (GMT) at the IHRC Bookshop & Gallery, 202 Preston Road, Wembley, HA9 8PA (nearest tube Preston Road, Metropolitan Line or South Kenton, Bakerloo Line or London Overground).

The event will be streamed live on  Please ensure you arrive by 6pm as the audience should be seated by 6.30pm ready for live streaming at 6.45pm.  As the event will be broadcast and recorded (later to be uploaded to the IHRC Youtube and Vimeo channels) attending this event means giving your permission to be filmed. If you do not want to be filmed as an attendee, please let IHRC know beforehand. Complimentary light refreshments will be available before the event.
