ROBERT PLANT AND MOROCCAN GNAWA

The problem with this song, as with many songs of 'fusion' (I am not strictly against fusion btw) is that the dominant and leading sound is the Gnawa/Moroccan, but the film edit and camera is focused mosre on Robert Plant and Jimmy Page, and the camera hardly at all focuses on the Moroccan singer even though he and his brothers are doing most of the singing.

Despite this relative flaw, quite a nice song.

But I have to say, Plant and Page show in this collaboration yet again the relative silliness of western white people trying to be 'soulful' when compared with the natural soul of our peoples across the world.
